Documents require for Packaged Drinking Water Plant

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) announced its plan to whip on all the unlicensed packaging drinking water plant companies. A popular news broadcast channel reported that nearly 4000 food business operators dealing which packaged drinking water did not have an FSSAI license.

1.SSI Registration:-

The most basic document needed for any small-scale industry in India. Once you have an SI Registration, you can avail many government facilities. Usually, this is available at the District Industries Centre.

2.ISI Mark Certificate (BIS Registration)

BIS Registration is mandatory for the packaged drinking water in India. The standard is – IS 14543

3. Pollution control certificate

You will need a Pollution Control Board Certification from your state or local government. However, the Rules and regulations may be very state to state. This is available from the local Pollution Board office.

4.All required test reports of raw and pure water

You have to check out the testing of the Water and Generate the Reports from the BIS. For this purpose, you have to check out the testing from the Local Water Testing Laboratory and tested for the packaged drinking water. Take 2-3 locations and get it tested for the packaged drinking water.

5. Pest control certificate

8. Registration of trademark

It should note that out of 5,842 registered water packaging units, only 1,495 units had both BIS and FSSAI license while 4,347 units only had the BIS certification.
