FSSAI Registration Process

• FBOs can register with the FSSAI online by completing and submitting the relevant form, i.e. On the FoSCoS website, submit Form A (application for registration) or Form B (application for state and central licence).
• The essential documentation must be submitted with the FSSAI form. The documents must be physically or electronically given to the Food and Safety Department with the application at the time of filling out the FoSCos site.
• Within seven days of receiving an application physically or electronically through the FoSCoS portal, the Department may approve or reject the FSSAI form. The applicant must receive written notification if their application is rejected.
• Before issuing the FSSAI registration certificate, the Department will examine the documents and inspect the food facilities if necessary.
• If the Department determines that the FBO satisfies all standards, it will provide an FSSAI registration certificate containing the registration number, the applicant’s photo, and their email address. The applicant may also download the FSSAI certificate by logging onto the FoSCoS portal.
• During business hours, FBO should visibly display the FSSAI certificate at the location of the business.

FSSAI Registration requires certain documents
